We breed for egg color, temperament, and classic beauty. I am a member of the breed clubs and breed to follow SOP rules as standard in our line production. We are known for the darkness of our eggs and the beauty of the adult birds, I put a lot of care into pairings and breeding groups. I have breeding pens of birds only hatched from 9+ color carded eggs. With that said, not all eggs laid are 9+ color carded eggs. We normally see 6 -9's and the randomly dark speckled ones. no hen is the same, the darkness of the egg is dependent on the hema concentration of the hen. I am always breeding with the mindset to increase concentrations and use only my best birds. There is no color guarantee. 

All orders are ensured for purchase price. If for any reason chicks arrive deceased or lost, the buyer is responsible for getting in contact with their post office for reimbursement. Please note shipping is guaranteed on time from date listed on receipt.  The tracking information given is all you will need to claim refunds from USPS.

🐣 Shipping Notice & Agreement – Live Chicks

Please read and understand the following terms regarding the shipment of live chicks:

📦 Shipping Responsibility

Once your chicks are handed over to the United States Postal Service (USPS), Sage Acres Farm LLC is no longer responsible for their delivery. We have no control over what happens during shipping, including delays, mishandling, or extreme weather conditions.

All chicks are shipped via USPS and are insured for the full purchase price. In the event of loss or death during transit, you (the buyer) are responsible for filing a claim directly with USPS.

📝 Filing a Claim for Loss or Damage

If you receive deceased chicks, follow these steps to help support your USPS insurance claim:

1. Take Clear, Immediate Photos:
   
• Deceased chicks
• The shipping box (inside and out)
• Any damage to the packaging or signs of mishandling
3. Keep All Packaging Materials:
   
• Do not discard the box or its contents
5. Visit Your Local Post Office (If Possible):
   
• Bring the box and deceased chicks to the post office and ask to initiate a claim in person
6.

• It is your responsibility to file all claims with USPS.
• Sage Acres Farm LLC will assist by providing tracking numbers, shipping receipts, and any other documentation needed to support your claim.
